Even the structure of the greenhouse itself maximizes sunlight potential, feeding your plants more nutrients and prolonging their life. They allow you to extend the season life of the plants, lengthening the spring and fall. There are several reasons people purchase a greenhouse.

When purchasing or building a greenhouse of your own, there are a few things you have to plan out beforehand. The most important thing is a site for the greenhouse. A greenhouse is a building, so the ground must be level and have little foot traffic. When choosing the location you must also consider light and space.

Build your greenhouse in a way such that it receives maximum light during each day. If possible, orient the greenhouse so that there is a clearing from the South-East to the South-West that permits sunlight at all times.

The inside of your greenhouse needs to have enough space to accommodate moving around large planters and workbenches. Make sure that the lot your greenhouse is going to be built on is large enough for the greenhouse to house your plants comfortably.
